S31803 duplex alloy consists of around 21–23% chromium, 4.5–6.5% nickel, 2.5–3.5% molybdenum, and nitrogen up to 0.10–0.20%. Carbon, phosphorus, and sulfur levels are strictly controlled. Forged S31803 fittings show high mechanical properties: yield strength of 450 MPa, tensile strength up to 650 MPa, elongation over 25%, and a maximum hardness of 290 HB. The forging process refines grain structure and boosts mechanical performance, especially in high-pressure situations. The alloy offers great corrosion resistance in harsh environments, especially those containing chlorides, sulfides, and mild acids.
