Monel Screws are usually made of Monel 400 or Monel K500 alloys, which contain about 63–70% nickel, 28–34% copper, and trace amounts of iron, manganese, and other components. This nickel-copper base gives exceptional resistance to seawater, acids, alkalis, and oxidizing agents. They possess very high tensile strength, toughness, and durability, even in harsh marine and chemical conditions. Monel K500 offers extra hardness and wear resistance from precipitation hardening.
