ENi‑CL electrodes are primarily nickel alloys with at least 60‑65 % nickel, along with chromium, molybdenum, and sometimes cobalt based on sub-variants. The “CL” means “corrosion-lined” or “clad lining” applications; the carbon level is low (< 0.05 %), and iron content is modest (~5‑10 %), with trace elements (Si, Mn, P, S) tightly controlled. The coating composition includes flux materials, binders, and stabilizers to aid arc stability and slag control. Mechanical properties show that deposited weld metal has a tensile strength of around 550‑700 MPa, elongation of about 30‑40 %, good impact resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
