Duplex Steel S31803 has 21–23% chromium, 4.5–6.5% nickel, 2.5–3.5% molybdenum, and nitrogen content. The duplex structure in balanced proportions provides very good resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of 620 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, and elongation of 25%. S31803 wire does not lose mechanical properties even under conditions of high temperature and pressure, and it has high fatigue strength and long life under dynamic loading.
