Monel Needle Valves are made of a nickel-copper alloy with around 63–70% nickel and 28–34% copper along with slight additions of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This special composition offers excellent resistance to seawater, acids, alkalis, and oxidizing agents. The valves have exceptional tensile strength, high toughness, and excellent ductility, even at high or cryogenic temperatures. Their sturdy construction provides resistance to stress corrosion cracking, erosion, and pitting.
